Upcoming Fall Events

Here is a list of the events coming up soon in the GMU Econ Dept. and put on by the GMU Econ Society:

Fall 2008 Economics Welcome Reception

Tuesday Sept. 30th
3-4pm in Enterprise Hall 354.

Econ majors and minors are invited to come enjoy refreshments and meet professors and advisers. This is a great way to meet other students who share the same interests, as well as a way to get to talk to your professors outside of a classroom environment.

Economic Liberty Lecture Series
Monday October 6th
5:30-10pm in the JC Cinema

Put on by the Future of Freedom Foundation and the GMU Econ Society, we will be having dinner, a lecture on the importance of economic liberty by Prof. Peter J. Boettke, and a viewing of V for Vendetta.

The Schedule is as follows:

5:30 pm – Dinner

6:00 pm – Talk with Q&A

7:30 pm – Movie

The event is open to all and admission is free, so please come attend for an enjoyable evening. If you have any questions about this event please email us at gmueconsociety@gmail.com or the FFF at fff@fff.org

Also as a reminder, we have meetings every other Wednesday evening in Enterprise 318 at 6pm. Our next meeting is October 1st. Hope to see you there.
